Best way to work studio lighting with 2 lights?
I have 2 studio lights (with stands and umbrellas) I also have a DSLR canon camera and a digital slave flash. I have a white backdrop. I am still getting quite a lot of shadows and it doesn't matter how I position things - even following certain points, I can't seem to get it just right.Any help would be greatly appreciated... PLEASE!!! 
I'd go with Steve P here - if you light the subject with both lights you're in danger of getting a very 'flat' look, especially if the ratios between key & fill are close.
I'd suggest (as he does), lighting the subject with one light & using a reflector for fill and using the other light for the b/g. As you are using umbrellas, the light will be spilling everywhere, so it should illuminate the b/g.
Have the subject well in front of the b/g too.
